Lenovo Ideapad S10 Battery Problem (plugged in, not charging) HELP!!!

My lenovo s10 netbook, with windows 7 and XP isn't charging anymore. I thought it was because XP is no longer supported or something, but I upgraded to Windows 7 and it still doesn't work. There's an orange light on, and when I move the battery around it turns blinking blue, I thought that meant it was charging, but in Windows 7 it says no battery detected and it's not holding any charge. Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Lenovo Ideapad S10 Battery Problem (plugged in, not charging) HELP!!!

hi john_i,

Try performing a system power drain,

Remove the Battery and AC charger,

Hold the power button down for 15 sec.

Reconnect the battery and AC and turn the system on, Check if the charging will continue.

If not try removing the AC and see if the the computer will shut off.

If yes then you might need to replace the battery.

Regards

Hi, I got similar problem but I am on Windows 7. I am pretty sure if I remove the AC (adapter?), it will be black out. Should I change a battery or just the adapter?
