Lenovo Ideapad U530 (touch screen) Battery dead?

Hey all, sorry if this is the wrong spot for my post but I'm new around here.

Yesterday, my Ideapad's battery malfunctioned when it was around 20%, and when I tried to plug in the ac adapter, it wouldn't charge. Eventually the battery ran down to 0, and now I'm stuck with a dead battery and laptop. Is there anything I can do? I initially thought it was the charger, and I ordered a new one, but even the new charger won't charge it either.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad U530 (touch screen) Battery dead?

Welcome to the Forums Logi.

  1. Unplug AC adapter (remove from notebook).
  2. Remove main battery
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds (power drain)
  4. Replace main battery
  5. Replace AC adapter

Update us how it goes.
