Lenovo S740 bluetooth not working/showing

2020-02-04, 18:36 PM

Hello all, this thing happened to me today.

Out of nowhere after turning on my month old laptop (Lenovo S740) I could not find my Bluetooth option, it doesn´t show up in device manager or anywhere else. I tried probably most of the tutorials, installs, reinstalls, reboots, etc. but it still won´t show up/work. Can I find some kind souls to help me with this problem, thanks :

Hi ,

Welcome to Community Forums!

Did you notice any Windows Update before this happened?

Did you make any significant hardware or software changes recently in the system?

You may try to download and install the Bluetooth driver on the Support Site. JUst type in the serial number then search.

Go to Drivers and Software > Manual Update > Bluetooth and Modem.

You can also refer to the troubleshooting steps provided on this article on How to resolve Bluetooth issueshttps://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht500004.

Update us on how it goes.

Regards

Malvin_Lenovo

Hello all, these steps from Slovak Lenovo community manager helped me out :

Go to BIOS and under Configuration set WIFI to "Disabled",
Restart the PC and check under Device Manager to see if you can find any WIFI module.
Then go to BIOS again, set WIFI back to "Enabled" and check again if WIFI is visible again and if Bluetooth is visible as well.
Bluetooth is often part of the WIFI module.

This helped me too
