I have a Lenovo U530 Touch with a cracked touchscreen. I have looked all over for a cheap replacement screen or even a tutorial on how to remove the display and install a new screen. If not, could I mail it back to the depot in the US and get it fixed or get a new one?

Your question regarding the mailing in of your laptop for service would best be answered by Lenovo Support. Give them a call and see what they recommend. You can find the phone number for Lenovo Support in your country or area by using the link below....
As for a do-it-yourself replacement. Starting on page #50 of your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual outlines the replacement procedure for the LCD screen. Here is a YouTube video of a screen repair on a U410. It will give you an idea of what is all involved in doing the repair.
As for parts, eBay can be a good source for new or used parts. There are also sellers that offer new screens with warranty, but you would have to check to see if they will ship to you. Here is one such company that is frequently recommended........

Contacting Lenovo Support would be the best option in obtaining information on how to get your laptop serviced. The link I posted earlier has an Australia contact number.

I assume that it is the glass with the digitizer. If so, check out eBay. Here is a U.S. listing of what's currently available......
