My Lenovo U530 can't be turned on...

I bought this U530 last December. Today, I was using it. After I close the lid, I found the laptop just shut down itself. Then no matter what I did, I can't turn on the laptop anymore. I tried to press the power button for 30 seconds without external power, but it doesn't work. Is it because of the battery problem?

I'm trying to disconnect the internal battery. The manual shows:

But why I can't disconnect it... It should be the "13476" part...

Any suggestions? I just need help to turn the laptop on...

Thank you so much!

Re: My Lenovo U530 can't be turned on...

Sounds like you're trying to reset the BIOS which can be useful in resolving some hardware problems.

On the battery connector can you remove that "13476" label ?  In your picture it looks almost like a little catch or clip  to keep the plug secure in the socket rather than just a part number label.

As long as you are trying to disconnect the main battery, I would disconnect the CMOS battery as well.  That battery is just above the hard drive and is a little coin cell encased in probably black vinyl.  It will have a red and a black wire that plugs into the motherboard.  Once you have the main battery and CMOS battery disconnected then press the power button for 30 seconds.  This will drain the motherboard of any residue electrical charge and thus clear the CMOS. Then reconnect the batteries and see if it helped resolve your problem.

If that didn't resolve the problem then I recommend you contact Lenovo Support for warranty service.  You can find the phone number for Lenovo Support using the link below....
