You can get the Netgear A6200 USB Wireless AC Dual Band Adapter: http://www.amazon.it/Netgear-Adattatore-Wireless-AC-1-200-Dualband/dp/B008UKSWE8/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1374894822&sr=1-2&keywords=netgear+ac+usb

It's expensive but has 4.5/5 user reviews from Amazon.com. However, the adapter is a little large but at least it comes with a really good internal antenna that gives strong signals at distant locations. It's also wireless AC capable, but you must have a wireless AC router to connect to get that configuration.

Ya I need to find a mini or nano wifi adapter that can at least maintain a signal 48-54 Mbps when I am downstairs and router is upstairs similar to what my Gateway netbook does (constant signal at 54 Mbps no matter where I am around tge house). An older Toshiba does arpund 38-46 Mbps when it is downstairs and that is acceptable as well. But when it is only 18-24 Mbps from same spot using the Edimax nano wifi adapter then that is no good.

I am thinking of getting the Netgear G54/150 micro wifi adapter and see how that is. Anyone using that one or if they have any other suggestions that would be helpful.

Claudio,

Can you comment on what sort of speed you were getting with the T-Link wifi adapter when you were a far distance from the router?

Hey everyone I'm just here to share my complaint like the rest of you. Received a U310 through the Microsoft Store manufactured AFTER August 2012 (date is March 8, 2013 to be exact).

Tried a number of fixes including tweaking power settings, tweaking router settings, tweaking network adapter settings, and also a system restore. Nothing helped. More info on that in the thread I made: http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Ideapad-U310-Network-Options/td-p/1198035

I'm planning on returning this computer which is truly a shame considering I love the design, the dimensions, the weight, and the specs aren't bad for the price. It will be hard to find a replacement :/ Hopefully customer service is not too much of a hassle or new information comes out within the next few days.

Hi Mat_Ley,

Lenovo claims the problem does not exist in products manufactured after August 2012. That being said, you can't really control the manufacturing date and even if you could, I would highly recommend against purchasing te U310. My manufacturing date was March 2013 and I still had problems. I sent the computer back yesterday. Unless you want to do the shielding foil fix and void your warranty, this computer isn't worth your time or money.

Hope this helped,
Nacho

Agreed.  I would avoid a company that would continue to send out knowingly bad laptops.

I cannot understand this issue. There are a lots of people with wifi problems and not only with the U310. Maybe It looks like a problem of the intel N2230 card...
