2014-04-10, 15:56 PM

Hello, I had to reinstall windows 7 on my lenvovo u460 laptop, the install all went fine and it completely works. The only problem is i want to create recovery disks for my laptop, the one key recovery sofeware that i download right from levovo wedsite isnt working, when I try to create the disks it says " The program cannot find the service partition. This function is currently unavaible." Is there a way to reinstall the recovery partiton? what can i do? it dosent look like i can buy recovery disks so im lost. Any help will be greatful. Thank you!

when you formated whole drive then you lost every partition :/ thats why you shall only formate C partition with windows on it and leave rest of partitions as they are since that will keep the one key recovery partition intact so you can restore backups :)

Hi
Welcome to the forum!!
This message comes even if you install/reinstall the os by any means.
If you by chance still have the recovery partition, this may help you
http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/How-to-use-one-key-recovery-after-it-stops-working/td-p/972701
You can check it in disk management. The partition is named
Lenovo_part or something similar and is around 15 gb big

Probably your last chance is to ask Lenovo to restore it for you. Of course you should expect some charges to be imposed.
