Re: S10-3S: BIOS Update issue -> Recovery procedure possible ?

LDN: What port and key combination (Fn+R?) are you using? I can't get mine into BIOS recovery mode at all.  Thanks.

Re: S10-3S: BIOS Update issue -> Recovery procedure possible ?

Thanks Yigit, but I've already tried all of that. :-(  Different posts suggest different key combinations: Fn+B, Fn+F, Fn+R, etc.  Has anyone determined which one works on the S10-3S?

Re: S10-3S: BIOS Update issue -> Recovery procedure possible ?

    I have a question.

At CRM mode BIOS boot block (BBL) reflashing ?

In DOS mode phlash16.exe started with option /BBL. Whether there is a possibility to set the given option in CRM mode?

Re: S10-3S: BIOS Update issue -> Recovery procedure possible ?

Hi,

today i get back my ideapad S10-3S after 2,5 Months !!!

Ok, i try to switch on but it doesn't boot ! I see inside the Shipping box my RAM-DIMM !!!

I open the Ideapad with the Maintenance Manual an put in the DIMM.

After this, i try to switch on, but it doenst work !!!

"Wonderful" Service from Lenovo !!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

schaltet hatte passierte ... nix, rein GAR NIX !!!!

Re: S10-3S: BIOS Update issue -> Recovery procedure possible ?

Have updated my ideapad S10-3s with downloaded LM30_128 Bios yesterday. Result dark screen with 3 illuminated LED  nothing more happened. Tried to contact the Lenovo ideapad support in Germany without success. Got only the same announcement of using the number 2 for ideapad support. Cant go further on due to endless loop. Is there another way to contact Lenovo Support in Germany? Having read all the problems about the Bios update before, I would not have done it. For me it was the first time, that a bios update lead to a bricked PC/note-/netbook. As it was a Phoenix Bios, there should be a recovery procedure. Is there any news about Bios recovery?
