S10-3t and Clicking speakers

My S10-3t was working great but recently my speakers started clicking even when muted and audio does not work.

If I turn them up or down I can hear audio for a few seconds but then it cuts out again and starts clicking.

I tried re-installing the latest driver but other than a 130GB SAlog.xml file being generated in the AppData\Local\Conexant\SmartAudio directory and filling up my HD it did not fix the issue.

Any thoughts?

Re: S10-3t and Clicking speakers

Thanks but I'm thinking it must be software because it click .. or pops.. whenever I click a link in IE but Media player does not have any output.. although I can see the volume levels move in the volume taskbar icon and if I adjust the volume it will work for 2-3 seconds.

Re: S10-3t and Clicking speakers

It's not software glitch but rather a hardware one. It just started happening on my S10-3. It is happening the moment I push the power button. I tried updating the firmware and it's still happening.  I'm having it replaced tomorrow.
