yesterday i updated my bios from my new netbook.
Unfortunately it won't boot anymore.
but it doesnt help. If holding down the FN+R Key and the Power-Button, the netbook is normal starting.
Any ideas, how i can recover / rebuild my old Bios? If not possible, how
can i reach my data, stored at the hard disk?

When i flashed my s205 (pflash from freedos) the machine have stoopted booting.
Wich way is the coorect way of doing a recovery on the s205.
i did try wincrisis on a 16gb usb stick and holding down fn + r made the usb stick blink during boot.
But the stck will only blink one and then nothing.
Do i need and old stick to run Fat16 filesystem or what is the correct way of formatting a new large stick for bios recovery.
Tonigth i will try to rescue it again with a usb floppy. I anyone got anything solid about bios recovery on the s205 please replay, since i have not found any thread about s205 bios recovery that worked

I can now confirm the Fn+r method for the s205.
Yesterday i managed to unbrick my netbook
The hard thing was making a working usb-stick to recover from.
I cant really remember the exact steps since i tried everything.
I do remeber that i swapped to pflash from a earlier s205 bios package.
And also i tried redoing wincrisis twice as i found in some guides.
If i get the time i migth put up a image file of my working stick

I also need help - cant remember my password anymore but I still want to use my S205... :-( Any help?
Welcome to the Lenovo Community !
Discussion related to circumventing passwords whether it is the Windows log-on or the BIOS is prohibited by forums rules. This is due to the ease in which laptops are stolen. Sorry !
I am assuming that your password problem is BIOS related. Your best option is try to remember it as correcting the problem requires a motherboard replacement.

Yes, it is BIOS related. And I can prove that I´m the owner of the netbook (invoice).
I´m trying to remember this thing since a week... unfortunatelly last time I used the netbook is 2 years ago.
There is no way to reset the netbooks bios? I dont care about my data - I can easily remove the SSD. But I want to use the netbook again...
BIOS replacement? Recovery disks? No chance?

Warfair, unfortunately there is no back door in which can be accessed to correct the problem with forgotten BIOS passwords. Even if you were to call Lenovo Support and prove ownership they will still tell you the only resolution to the problem is to replace the motherboard. Sorry!
In your quest to remember the password don't forget to try upper and lower case characters. Some folks forget they had used the shift key when they originally set it up.
