S21e-20 No touchpad after installing Windows 10 32-bit.

2017-08-09, 23:04 PM

I can't find anything on 32-bit drivers for this model. Windows Update can't find any touchpad drivers either. But it did find the graphics and wireless drivers.

Hello Rel287

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Looks like that there is only 64 bit drivers available for this model, is there any specific reason you would need 32 instead of 64?

Let us know how you get on.

Hey, Krakken.

Perhaps there's a different Lenovo laptop that has 32-bit drivers for this model?

I'm using 32-bit because it's faster on a laptop with only 2GB ram. This came with Windows 8.1 64-bit and it slowed down drastically after having 6+ browser tabs open. I thought upgrading to Windows 10 64-bit would help but I had the same issue. No problems now that I'm on 32-bit.

Sorry for double posting but does anyone have any idea how to fix this, aside from going back to 64-bit?

It has been almost two weeks now and I still haven't found a solution to enable touch pad on my computer. I'm forced to use an external mouse in the meantime...

Still looking for answers, I'll definitely post back if I find one. To save others the hassle.

Use this URL, It's Work!!!!

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24096/Intel-Processor-I-O-Controller-Driver-for-Windows-8-1-

1.download 32bit Driver

2.Extract Driver,find path=Installer\PlatformInstaller\Drivers\I2c, only extract I2c folder

3.open device manager->system device, find the i2c device, and repalce this Win8 32bit driver

4.Enjoy use TouchPad!!!

Thanks for sharing the link! I can confirm that this does work on Lenovo S21e-20 80M4.

I just extracted the whole .zip folder after downloading it. And then installed the driver via the .exe file in the location you provided. I didn't have to use Device Manager and the "Have disk..." method since the drivers installed just fine with the included .exe installer.

I just had to restart the computer and touchpad was good to go!
