S510P slow loading anything after windows 8.1 update

After further reading I wasnt aware of the problems with lenovo computers and 8.1. A day or two later i realized that windows 8 upgraded the O.S and ever since then any program that I open takes a while to boot. Ive also noticed this when uninstalling programs. I really don't know what to do at  this point. Im frustrated, I've been using my old windows vista laptop instead as it is way faster then my current s510p. I've read online about uninstalling the “Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework” from the device manager. will this solve something? thanks.

thanks Solid_cruver after a windows update installed the computer seem to work better and everything is good now. But now my screen wont turn back on after the display shuts off from inactivity. please help..

hi Manuelitoohno,

 

I see for this one

 

Two things you need to set,

 

 Turn ON the Hybrid Sleep under Power Options and Disable the Fast Startup.

 

Make sure to hit apply before closing the settings page.

 

Induce a sleep again then wake the system up, see if that works.
