Touchpad and mouse not working

Have a Lenovo S415, operating system Windows 10.  The touchpad and mouse stopped working.  Went to Control Panel, hardware for mouse does not show up, latest Synaptic driver installed.

Re: Touchpad and mouse not working

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Try to download the Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page. Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Re: Touchpad and mouse not working

I tried to download the "chipset driver", for my Lenovo Ideapad s415 Touch, Windows 10 64bit operating system.  It came back as "No drivers found for the selected criteria".  I also downloaded the Lenovo Service Bridge and ran a system check for drivers.  It did not find anything to install.  Then went to Lenovo Troubleshoot and ran for"Hardware and Devices".  Message was: "An error occurred while troubleshooting".  "An unexpected error has occurred.  The Trouble Shooting Wizard can not continue, error code 0x8000FFFF.  Also when I went to Mouse Properties Hardware Tab, Devices.  Name, Type, are blank, Device Properties: Mfg, Location, Device Status all blank.  Even when the mouse is plugged into the USB port.  Mouse Properties does not indicate that I have a touchpad.  Help, help, help.  At this point I do not have a mouse or the touchpad, no curser.  Hard to my Lenovo IdeaPad which I love.  Waiting patiently for your reply.
