U110 Question

Does the U110 have a mini pcie slot? (not asking about the external pcie express slot)

Is the wifi adapter embeded?  If not, then it's most likely using the mini pcie.

Is there a webpage/document that describes how to take apart the u110 for replacements?

Thanks for your time.

Re: U110 Question

Hi MrSomeone,

U110 uses miniPCIe for that, you're right.

I by myself disassembled U110 and can tell for sure it's only a safe procedure if you have some experience in laptop disassembly.

The laptop is small and it's not easy to disassemble without tearing/breaking/lossing some surfaces.

No official disassembly guides for this model are available.

Can you please point out what ido you need the disassembly guide for?

Re: U110 Question

Is the wifi card full size or half-size? (there are 2 different sizes for wifi cards)

Also, was there ever a bios update for the u110?

Thanks for the previous answers.

Re: U110 Question

at this moment, there's no available bios update for u110, you can check it from here.

u110 comes with intel mini 4965agn wireless adapters. ( half size, small whatever you call Smiley Happy )
