I have read that the normal drive erase is not a good idea for SSD's. I have also read that most SSD manufacturers should have a utility that will allow you to force it to flush deleted data. Does anyone know if this is available thru Lenovo. The SSD controller is a Jmicron but I did not see any utilities on their website.

Hi PaulKuefler ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Secure Erase utility directly from the SSD manufacturer are the ideal tools to use.
As couple of tools , softwares and discussions on how it would be best to securely delete SSD's , lenovo would have a drive erase utility specific for thinkline products , cannot guarantee functionality with idealine .
