I've been using my Lenovo U31-70 for a few months now with no issues until a week ago when attempting to start up the computer I encountered problems. At first, it took a few minutes for the system to start up and then that even stopped working, reaching a point where the power button is on, but the screen stays black and no start-up process is in effect.
I've read about issues like that and eventually followed a guide by someone who said it might be related to the battery.
I removed the internal battery - and to my surprise - the computer works fine (a bit slower now from direct current), no issues on start-up.
What could I do now? the battery L14M2P24 is nowhere to be found, not even with the official labs.
Is there any solution or the battery is dead and I'll need to send it abroad?
Regards and thank you,

Hi hornedz ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
I was also thinking of probable power relation on wake up under battery option that may also exhibit same symptom wherein if the pc is on this setting waking up is affected.
You can initially set power options to high performance first.
Under advance option to disable hybrid sleep.
When you removed the battery it ,ay be the you were at the same time ended some processes causing the delay in wake/ start up. The settings above are changeable that is worth a try.
You can also try checking battery performance using Energy Manager.
Uninstall to test and re install from the support site.
Yoou may also check the part availability thru Lenovo Encompass in your location .
Test the performance with such changes and update us how it goes.

Thank you so much.
This has indeed worked. I reinstalled the battery and did the clean boot and it worked.
After that I ran the computer normally and it works again.
The battery report indicates nothing was wrong with my battery.
Thank you again for your help!!
