don't know about a battery issue with U310 model,
I did a One Key Recovery (OKR) on my U310 back to the original OEM installations
and have since only removed that pesky and bothersome McAfee Anti Virus software
with McAfee Removal tool (MCPR) and installed ESET Smart Security 5 instead...
I've made screenshots of all U310 BIOS pages for you to compare,
please right click the pictures and select 'View Image'...
hope this helps... Zehn

I have the same error (ERROR 233 - Only secured capsule is allowed on a SecureFlash system! Status = 1) when trying to flash my BIOS on Ideapad U310. What is strange is that my BIOS version looks newer that the latest version available for download...?
My BIOS version: 65CN90WW

I have the same problem on my IdeaPad U410. After entering the "Lenovo" password to unzip the BIOS update package, I get:
error 233 only secured capsule is allowed on a SecureFlash system. Status = 1.
error 105: command line error status = 105.
The system was delivered with Windows 8. Lenovo support - please help.
