U310 no power. Power adapter and connector seem to work fine.

2014-05-16, 17:51 PM
Hi all,

Really in need of help, I have a U310 ( non touch version) that doesn't turn on.

How it happened: I dropped it lightly and when I picked up the top right corner sort of seemed detached. I pressed it back and it worked fine that day. But the next day I tried to turn on and the battery LED blinked three times slowly in amber and the laptop wouldn't turn on.

What I tried: checked the power adapter, and it reads 20V fine. Checked with aanother adapter at Fry's just to make sure with the same result.

2. I opened and checked power connector, and 20V goes out of it too
