I just bought a U330 Touch that comes with Windows 8.1 preinstalled. I have several programs that are not compatible with Windows 8.1 so I want to downgrade to Windows 7. I spoke to a Microsoft representative who told be to check with the manufacturer before I downgrade to make sure that the computer is compatible.
So I was wondering if anyone could help me.

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Yes this system is compatible with Windows 7
In fact this is a driver download link for your system with a Windows 7 OS
This means that this system support Windows 7
You just have to make few adjustments on this system before installing a WIndows 7 OS.
You need to set the BIOS as follows
OS Optimized or OS Optimization should be disabled or Other OS
BOOT or Start up TAB
Boot Mode Should be set to Legacy

Hi, i have recently bought a lenovo u330p with no OS installed, but just with the freedos. Now i want to install windows 7 on it but i can't do that using UEFI mode. I know how to use the legacy mode, and how to remove the secure boot, but i dont want the legacy bios. I just want to install my windows seven using the efi loader and the UEFI MODE, and i know that other laptops can do that.
So can it be done on this laptop too? ITS TWO DAYS THAT IM TRYING, BUT I'M NOT ABLE TO DO THAT!!
I used rufus and the windows 7.iso, and it has the efi folder on it...
But it doesnt works.
