U330t ideapad Touchscreen only Partially Working after Win 10 Upgrade

2015-08-03, 18:52 PM

I have just upgraded to Windows 10 on my U330t.

All seems fine with the exception of the touchscreen which functions in Windows main system menus but no longer functions in Chrome or browsers. This would appear from general googling to have similarly affected other brands of laptop (HP etc) but I can find no posts regarding Lenovo machines.

The general consensus seems to be that it must be a hardware manufacturers driver issue but I am at a loss as to which driver (if any) can be updated from the Lenovo website in order to resolve this issue.

Am I best to do a One Key Recovery and go back to using the factory installed 8.1 until such driver issues are ironed out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Nick

Managed to resolve by going into Control Panel and then highlighting the Human Interface Device branch and selecting the Touchscreen branch UNINSTALL the HID touchscreen driver (simply updating it will just result in the message that the most up to date driver is installed). Then restart Windows 10 and let it reinstall the driver itself. ☺

I tried this on my Ideapad.  When I restarted the touchscreen icon was still not there at all.  Windows did not reinstall it. I guess it may be a hardware problem on mine.
