U430 Touch Audio Issue - Only one speaker working...

For some reason, the audio is working incorrectly. Only the right speaker eminates any noise. There are rare odd instances when the left speaker will also sync and output audio. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver 3 times and it has not fixed the issue. But since the left speaker will come on every once in awhile, I don't believe this is a hardware issue. I also am not sure if this is a software issue since it has been reinstalled at least 3 times. Is there any fix for this issue?

Re: U430 Touch Audio Issue - Only one speaker working...

hi ltran11,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Trying an Earphone should help you sort it out.

If this is a software concern, Earphones should produce the same problem.

If hardware then your earphone should produce sound on left and right.

You can Contact Lenovo Technical Support Here for Hardware Assistance.

Hope this helps

Cheers!

Re: U430 Touch Audio Issue - Only one speaker working...

I tried it with headphones and both the left and right headphone work properly. Does this mean it is a hardware issue?

Re: U430 Touch Audio Issue - Only one speaker working...

hi

Yes. I strongly beleive that this is a Hardware Concern,

Probbably somthing loose in the connection of the speakers.

If you want to take a look at it you can refer to the system's Maintenance Manual

   or Conatact Lenovo Technical Support

Regards

Solid Cruver.

Re: U430 Touch Audio Issue - Only one speaker working...

I was able to open the back and look at it. I disconnected and reconnected the speaker and it did not fix the issue. I believe the speaker itself is the issue. Would that be covered under warranty or can I be sent a new speaker for the laptop?

Did you get this fixed? I have the same issue, no sound from the left speaker, unfortunately my warranty run out. I'm trying to find out if it's a driver or hardware issue.
