After updating to Windows 8.1, keyboard and touchpad on my U430 are not working any more.
please help. it's very urgent

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
To verify the Touchpad / Keyboard functionality, can you try to:
1. Hold the power button until the computer turns off
2. Press the OneKey Recovery (Novo) button and try to choose choose System Recovery using the arrow keys (this will also check if the keyboard is working)
3. In Recovery Environment. you can test if the Touchpad is working by clicking on some options or by just simply moving the mouse
If the keyboard/mouse still doesn't work, I recommend you contact Lenovo and report the issue.

Some of the keys in my keyboard are not working and the touchpad is not working properly. The click on the touchpad is not functioning.
These are hardware troubles and I am really disappointed in Lenovo as I am in India and despite international warranty, I am not getting ANY assistance from Lenovo.
