U430p sound recording issue

Hi

Does this laptop have a sound card? In the sound setings there is only a microphone as a recording device. How can I add another source of sound? Like when trying to record audio from screen it uses microphone not the streamed audio. Installing the latest Realtek driver is of no help.  Please advise.

Thank you.

Re: U430p sound recording issue

hi chunderbay,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

Can you try under Playback devices under sound

Rightclick on an empty space then select  Show Disabled Devices

Now you should find Stereo Mix, Enable that and use that as Default then that's what you need to record streaming sound from computer.

Hope this helps

Cheers!

Re: U430p sound recording issue

It seems like  there is no Stereo Mix available. Does it mean my laptop soundcard doesnt support it?

Re: U430p sound recording issue

Hello

I managed to install Realtek High Def Drivers (so that Stereo Mix is there now) and now the sound is being recorded too BUT it is lagging behind the video. What can be a problem now?

Re: U430p sound recording issue

hi chunderbay,

Try disabling sound enhancements and see if that'll fix the lagging.
