U510 Keyboard does not work unless a USB Keyboard is plugged in

For the past two days I have not been able to use my keyboard on my U510 unless I plug in a USB Keyboard & also pushing & holding down ctrl+alt+del to type all of the characters I want. If this is not done only the Caps Lock, the Spacebar, Enter & the letter I works. Once I go through the USB keyboard setup I can take out the keyboard & use the keyboard on my laptop but my volume turns down on it's own. Does anyone know if there is a BIOS update I can put on a Flash Drive? The laptop came with Windows 8 but I went down to 7 then went up to Windows 10. If I were to try to go to the BIOS I get no response because of the keyboard not responding. Can someone please help me with this problem.

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

 

You can also start by flushing out all static, remove battery and AC adaptor and hold down power button for about 15 seconds.

 

Also, confirm if on screen keyboard works without usb keyboard plugged in ?
