Will opening the back of my U430 void the warranty?

2014-04-30, 3:40 AM
I have a new u430 idea pad with a faulty battery. Lenovo is sending a new one for me to try out. I watched a disassembly tutorial online that mention that one of the screws has a tag. If this screw is removed, which is necessary to open it up, then the warranty will be voided. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks!

hi Smt328,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

If you are opening it up for some upgrades, Idoubt that the warranty will be voided.

Only damages during the replacement process will be voided from the warranty but not all the components.

Please Check this article,
