Windows 7 pre-order

We have until July 11 or so to pre-order Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional for about 1/2 price ($50 and $99 respectively). Which version would you put on your s10?

When I look at the feature comparisons it looks like Windows XP mode probably is the only thing I'd use from Professional that Home Premium doesn't have. Or is there other stuff in Professional that they aren't mentioning?

Re: Windows 7 pre-order

As far as I know the Windows XP mode (Windows Virtual PC) requires the virtualization technology Intel VT or AMD-V. The N270 does not support this feature and therefore it should not work on the S10.

The Professional Edition also features the offline files for network shares, for my opinion a necessary function for mobile devices.

Anyone else?

Greetings

Re: Windows 7 pre-order

Thurrott's Supersite for Windows has extensive charts comparing versions of Windows 7.

http://www.winsupersite.com/win7/win7_skus_compare.asp

Windows 7 upgrade products evidently will upgrade from
a legal XP. But they require a clean install. Meaning you must
reinstall your programs and your backed up documents.

I'm wondering if replacing XP with Windows 7 will wipe out my
S10'sOne Key Recovery, etc.

Re: Windows 7 pre-order

Thanks for the responses. It looks like Home Premium should be fine so I have placed my pre-order . . .
