Re: recovery images for s10-3

if you resize the partition, add/delete, one key recover function will stop working. if you want to use that function ( it performs re-installing operation system ) i don't suggest you to create new volumes and/or install another os. if you don't know what you're doing, you may harm your okr.

Re: recovery images for s10-3

if you don't want to use okr ( if you need to re-install windows, you need to perform clean windows installation by windows dvd or usb ), you are free to change the volume size.

S10e Onekey Recovery does not work

Hi,

I have a Lenovo S10e netbook, type 4068-4WG, OS windows XP Home Edition SP3.

Since it's been 3 years I'm using it (and it worked perfect Smiley Wink) it becomes slow. I have not changed its OS or partitions before. I needed to restore it to factory settings, pure restoration. However, the Onekey Recovery (orange round arrow) does not work for me.

I searched the forum and did what I thought may solve my problem but it wasn't solved (like making the hidden partition invisible by changing the number under type to 12, etc.)

I turned off the netbook and turned it on by pressing the OKR button, when it says "To boot to the Rescue and Recovery Environment, Press F11", I press it but it goes to OS directly and nothing happens.

Is it my problem? Could someone please help me on this issue since I work with my netbook.

(BTW, I use Kaspersky Internet Security as antivirus, if it helps.)

Thank you guys...

Re: S10e Onekey Recovery does not work

try to run okr under windows and select "system recovery"
by the way, did it come with dvd drive? do you have external dvd drive? ( try to burn the recovery discs, then use )

Re: S10e Onekey Recovery does not work

the problem is that when I hit okr, a window opens containing 9 positions for program shortcuts tu run. It's something like quick access to some programs like Internet Explorer, Media Player, Outlook Express, etc. It is totally different from what you're describing: no options such as 'recovery' or else available.

No, it does not have a dvd drive, since it's a netbok and I do not have an external dvd drive. I remember when I bought it I was told it has a hidden partition which can be run to go back to factory settings. It's true because I can see my primary drive (C:\) is filled with some files not visible to me.

Thank you for your help!
