It seems im not the only one but the idea pad s415 seems to have a common defection in the touch screen as it ceases to operate after the 8.1 update...... Lenovo doesnt seem to want to help us unless you have your warrenty... and this dumb problem occured far after anyone wouldve purchased the computer..... so look if anyone can help me fix this I'll appriciate this... but why is it so hard to get ahold of lenovo..... and can someone from staff please fix this issue??? if not, you can consider my support for the lenovo brand lost as I see how you treat products when they come across defects...

I would just like to clarify the issue. When you say 8.1 update, is it a windows update that caused the issue or Windows 8.1 upgrade. Have you tried updating the chipset, LCD firmware and BIOS of the computer from support.lenovo.com. If not try downloading these drivers and tell us what happens.
Hope this helps.
