s10-2, Win7 Installation, Enable Lenovo OneKey Recovery

Hello to all the community,

I own one Lenovo s10-2 netbook. I made a clean windows 7 installation where I did format to the hard drive.

My problem is that after installation I want to enable again Lenovo OneKey Recovery function and startup button.

I found here (http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/ot/en ... ryid=35057) the win7 available driver.

Then I successfully installed Lenovo OneKey Recovery I made a system Backup at D:\Lenovo but when I push the recovery button it just opens my win OS. I believe that somehow must add to boot.ini the Lenovo OneKey Recovery boot option.

Any ideas?

if you make any changes on volumes ( resize, delete ) okr will stop working. can you confirm that you didn't make any changes on volumes and still have hidden & boot partition?

Re: s10-2, Win7 Installation, Enable Lenovo OneKey Recovery

that was the reason why okr not working.
you need to order recovery disc from lenovo or ship it back to reset your harddisk to its default if you want to use okr function again.

There isn't any other way?
If i edit boot.ini and add there the OneKey Recovery path?
Does anybody have the initial boot.ini file to post it here?

@ cruel
you need to make a hidden boot partition and also you should have hidden ( recovery partition ) too. if you don't have both at the same time, editing boot.ini won't work.

@ angcsbenny
call lenovo support line to order recovery discs ( ask how much it costs )

I've made a hidden recovery partition.
Is there any good guide about making a hidden boot partition?
I have to fix this otherwise the recovery button is useless

i didn't say you need to create hidden recovery partition, you should have it, you shouldn't have deleted it if you already did.

if you delete the okr partition ( which you did ) okr won't work even if you re-create the volumes. contact lenovo support line and ship your laptop back to service to reset your harddisk to its default.

I changed OS(win7)... The old recovery partition had winXP...
What is the point to keep the old recovery partition? Revover XP? I want to recover win7
