I have also a cracked screen on a Lenovo G580 (2189) so it looking to be a design flaw made by Lenovo and what I have heard hear the support is very low and sending it to service i resulting in a very high payment requirement.
It also seems that there is a on purpose design flawn, there is something to wider the cracked plastics so it get wider and wider, wrong design in how to lead the power true the screen. How much should a metalic stage cost that the hinge is connected to?
Can this design flaw be made on purpose so folks is forced to by new laptops.
Anyway, not sure if I will ever buy a Lenovo laptop IF i dont get free help with this.
