As the title says, I'd like to replace the original hard drive by a 250 Go ssd.
I've no idea what the specs are, to purchase the appropriate ssd.
Does anyone know if I should choose :
2,5 " ?
m-SATA or not ?
Finally are some manufacturers to prefer : Corsair, etc.. ?

Welcome to the Forums Kmarsh!
We sorry to inform you that, as per the datasheet S400 can’t be upgraded to 250GB. G50-80 model has feasibility of upgrading Up to 500GB HDD storage - [320GB/500GB (5400/7200rpm)]; Up to 32GB SSD (optional)
However For part details, you can through HMM (Hardware Maintenance Manual) for more details. Page no 62

Thanks for your previous answer (a while ago, I know)
and happy new year !
I've spent quite some time figuring out a solution : I need more than 32GB to install Win10 and Program Files.... :-(
Is there another way to replace the HDD by a ssd ? I mean replacing a controller or another part, that can be bought on Lenovo's website.
My laptop was bought in 2013, since then the HDD has been replaced by a SSD. So I'd so much like to think it that my laptop can be upgraded
Any help would be appreciated :-)
