I purchased a lenovo u310 touch over the summer. The laptop sees wireless networks and will connect to them. I can ping google from command prompt without issue. The problem is that the internet speeds are beyond slow, to the poing where I can not load a webpage. The issue does not lie with the wireless network, this happens on multiple networks where other devices work fine. Lenovo phone support has been extremely unhelpful. Is this a known issue? What could it possibly be?
Thanks for your time

Update your WLAN drivers to the latest version and see if the slow down still occurs.

Wireless drivers have been updated. Issue still occurs.
The laptop will work fairly well when used 5 feet away from the router on wireless. IF the router is in the next room, the wireless barely works (will not load google).
I did some researching and found that lenovo energy management may be causing the issue. I uninstalled the program, and the laptop is better, but still not acceptable. The wireless is painfully slow if far from the router. These wireless networks were cross checked with my y470, which works perfectly on wireless.
Is this a software or hardware issue? When i called, they swore up and down that it was a software issue

It can also be a hardware issue where the internal antennas in the U310 isn't as receptive as the y470. Try replicating the WiFi settings from the y470 to the U310 provided that the WiFi cards are both made by the same manufacturer.

LEnovo support already had me change around the wireless settings for the u310, so settings shouldn't need to be changed again. Even my ipad out performs thus u310. Do others have this same problem with the laptop? I'm thinking of wiping it and doing a fresh install, unless this is a hardware issue.
