u430p bios update failed to update to 7ccn61ww

I made the laptop boot to legacy.

everytime I run the bios update I get this error. I'm using this http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-u-series-laptops/ideapad-u430p-notebook/downloads/DS100450

Is the laptop normally booting in legacy mode? That bios file should be runned under windows booting under normal condition.

I reset the bios to the default. When I ran the bios update I get this.

Try going to the bios and determine the bios version installed. Is it older that the one that you are trying to install?

If you are not facing any problem with that bios then just don't update. Maybe the update is defective.

I'm actually having problem with the screen doing auto brightness. If dark things are on the screen, the whole screen turns darker. And if there are white, it turn very bright. I read that this bios fix those issue.

Try redownloading the update bios using another computer/laptop. Then try updating your bios.
