Disabling Camera Privacy Mode in Lenovo Vantage

Disabling Camera Privacy Mode in Lenovo Vantage

1. From the Vantage dashboard, navigate to the menu at the top of the page. Go to the “Device” section and select “My Device Settings” from the dropdown.

2. On the “My Device Settings” page, navigate to the “Display & Camera” section.

3. On this page, scroll down to the “Camera” settings section. You should see an option for “Camera Privacy Mode” with a toggle.

4. If the toggle is green in color and says “on”, click on it to toggle it off. It should be gray and say “off” when the setting is disabled.

5. If the above step worked, you should now see an image of yourself within the “Camera” space, indicating that your webcam is no longer under “Privacy Mode” and ready to be used for video calls and all other video needs.

6. If you still cannot see an image being generated under the “Camera” space, please check to ensure that your web cam Privacy Shutter has not been enabled. If it is enabled, a red dot will appear over your physical web camera. Please refer to this video for an example of Privacy Shutter being enabled.

7. If you have further questions, please send an email to VantageTeam@Lenovo.com
