Lenovo Vantage stuck forever at "Services for Lenovo Vantage are upgrading, please wait”

Symptoms

 After Lenovo Vantage is automatically updated to the latest version from the Microsoft Store, some users may see a screen like "Services for Lenovo Vantage are upgrading, please wait".  This message appears forever, even if Vantage is closed and restarted, or if the machine is rebooted.

 

Diagnosis

 This situation happens because Lenovo Vantage Service is in a failed state.

 

Solution

 Uninstall Lenovo Vantage Service, then run Vantage to re-install it.

 

 

How to uninstall Lenovo Vantage Service:

1.  Right-click on the Start menu and select Apps and Features

2.  Select "Lenovo Vantage Service" from the list and click on the Uninstall button

3.  Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall Lenovo Vantage Service

  

After following above steps 1-3, reboot the PC, and then run Lenovo Vantage.  Follow the on-screen instructions to install the Lenovo Vantage Service again.

We have found the cause for this issue.  It has to do with non-English language settings in Windows 10.  We will have a fix for it soon.  Sorry for this trouble.
