Hello,
I'm configuring XClarity Administrator in a test environment before going to production. I have troubles to deploy firmware updates to my test blade.
When updating the IMM I receive:
Failed to run CIM commands to the CIM server of the device.
A CIM command error occurred while performing the firmware update.
XClarity Version: 1.3.0
Test blade:
Type: 8737-15X
IBM Flex System x240 Compute Node
No OS installed
UEFI: 1.41 B2E136UUS
UEFI backup: 1.41 B2E136UUS
IMM: 5.60 1AOO72H
IMM2-Backup 3.79 1AOO56G
Any idea's? Is it related to the current firmware levels? I have upgraded the IMM to 5.6 from 3.79 manually with no success.
Regards,

I also see that issue in lab ,with testing for x3550 m5 and flex x240 x220 ,all fail with "failed to run cim command ".
So far ,I don't find a solution for that. Have you solved the issue or engage xclarity support to further analyze ?

Can you check to see if CIM over HTTPS is enabled? It should be.

Yes, I checked that "CIM over https" is enabled for all testing nodes. Don't know why see the CIM errors.

Did anyone manage to resolve this? We're having the same issue for our Flex chasis and the switches/nodes in the chassis.

Hi,
After the upgrade to XClarity Administrator 2.0 everything went well but recently I experience the same issues on all type of blades.
XClarity Administrator (v1.1.0 and above) security SSL/TLS certificates need updating - 5/14/2018
Could this be related? https://support.lenovo.com/be/en/solutions/ht506624
