Lenovo D2 Enclosure SMM Access

Hi,

I am new to Lenovo D2 Enclosure with 4 x SD530 servers inside. We are trying to access the SMM of the Lenovo D2 Enclosure using the ip address - 192.168.70.125 (connecting on the SMM port at the back of the enclosure). We login on through the browser using the default ip, but we are only getting the xClarity Controller page for one of the server (server installed on the slot 1).

Is the SMM works like the previous AMM that you can manage all the components inside the chassis or its just like a bridge that you have to assigned the BMC ip addresses of each server and access the server 1 by 1 by its assign ip?

Thank you in advance for the clarifications..

Re: Lenovo D2 Enclosure SMM Access

Hi

In the setup guide, page 28, it said:

You can access the dedicated XCC network port of the four nodes via the Ethernet connector on the Single Ethernet port SMM. Go to website and use IP to access XCC. For more details, see System Management Module User's Guide.

Here is the SMM UserGuide: http://thinksystem.lenovofiles.com/help/topic/7X21/SD530_smm_users_guide.pdf

See Chapter 2 Web interface access, follow the instrucation to enable SMM network, and then use default static IP: 192.168.70.100 to log in.
