PIN requirement for XClarity Mobile

Does anyone know why XClarity demands that a mobile OS-level security code to unlock screen access be set up in order to use the app?

 

Not everyone wants or needs a security code on their mobile device. It can become very irritating if you're used to not having one. How do we make a request to have that particular "feature" removed?

The Lenovo XClarity Mobile app for Android takes advantage of device-level security features that are not available at the individual app level.  The reasoning is that if your phone is lost or compromised you wouldn’t want someone to be able to access and control your hardware under management.

 

You can submit a feature request through your Lenovo marketing representative.
