The system is not manageable

2018-04-06, 21:53 PM

Using XCLA to manage SR630 and SR650s. On 2 servers, I get the following error message when trying to 'Manage and Discover New Devices' after manually inputting the ip address.  I am able to manage other servers on this same subnet and I can directly access this failed server via BMC.

This type of error typically happens when there is an issue with the system configuration or using older xclarity releases than support provided.  Please verify you are running XClarity Administrator 1.4 or later and the configuration of the server is correct (see http://sysmgt.lenovofiles.com/help/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.lenovo.lxca.doc%2Fsym_cannot_manage_an_endpoint_1.html).

If those do not solve the problem, it may be worth getting a call into service.

On BMC Configuration, I had to disable CIM over HTTPS, then re-enable CIM over HTTPS. Then from Home, Power Action, select 'Restart Management Controller'.

This helped me too
