Re: XClarity appliance root access

root access is not allowed on the XClarity Administrator shell.  Console access is not designed for direct customer access/usage.  XClarity Administrator is a self-contained appliance and installing third party apps and tools on the appliance is not supported.

You can integrate alerts from XClairty Administrator into Nagios by setting up an event forwarding profile to send SNMP traps to your Nagios server.

Information on configuring Event Forwarders within XClarity Administrator can be found here:

http://flexsystem.lenovofiles.com/help/topic/com.lenovo.lxca.doc/events_forward.html?cp=1_10_8_4

The trap MIB for XClairty Amdinistrator can be found here:

http://flexsystem.lenovofiles.com/help/topic/com.lenovo.lxca.doc/events_mib.html?resultof=%22%4d%49%...

You can simply donwload the MIB and load it into Nagios

If you desire to script against XCalrity Administrator, you can use PowerShell, Python, and or REST.  Information on these interfaces can be found here:
