Smart beep code 0288

Hi guys

My laptop was working perfectly during the last year. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 carbon g6 which I bought second hand. However since I installed w11, I am getting this 010288 error very often when I turn the laptop on.

I do not know if that's is cause by the w11, cause I installed it and moved for work during 5 weeks abroad, so probably moving the laptop to the plane, office, house, a lot, could also be a cause.

The thing is that the guy who sold it to me says that I could reset the bios and if it does not work the solution is very hard because they have to do-decrypton of the mother board, change the battery of the mother board and so on.

Have anyone has this problem? How could I solve this? I read that this could be cause by the screen cable but I see nothing when I connect the laptop with hdmi

Thanks

Hello gonsos,

Welcome to Lenovo Community

I understand that you are getting this error 0288 on your ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 6.
As I check, this might be related to display.
See image below:

For the meantime, try the following:
-reload the BIOS default settings, be sure to save
-install all applicable updates from the support site, once done restart and observe.
Update us how it goes.
