Yoga Slim 7i Pro X - Touchpad stuck on one side

Hi everyone, I purchased the Yoga Slim 7i Pro slightly less than a month ago for Uni. Two days ago the left part of the touchpad got somewhat stuck and was not possible to click, although it was still working if tapping, and I could move the mouse around. After insisting on using the touchpad (I rarely use a mouse), it got slighlty better. Now I can click, although I can feel it is quite stuck and the difference is even more noticeable if I click anywhere between the centre and the right side of the touchpad. Unfortunately, I purchased this unit from Currys in store and that store is not carrying another unit at the moment. The customer service at Currys is horrendous, and I don't have a car to quickly get back to that store. I was wondering if anyone has had this issue and, if so, if there is another way to fix it rather than chasing a difficult replacement. Sending it back can't be done for the time being as I have loads of assignment and study to do.

Thanks.

Re:Yoga Slim 7i Pro X - Touchpad stuck on one side

Hi @danielsan87,

I had the same issue. The computer worked perfectly fine for a month or so. But then it started when I noticed a delay in the left-click action when selecting multiple items or any other click-and-dragging action. Through the troubleshooting, I saw the total loss of the left-click button travel, which was pretty noticeable compared to the right-click button. A software issue was discarded, and the physical problem was evident.

I have been instructed by Lenovo Technical Support to send the unit for repair. Was your problem solved?
