Yoga 13: How to turn off Hotmail/Outlook and password login at boot up?

Question

I downloaded the new Microsoft 8.1 patch last night and now every time I start up my Yoga 13, it requires me to login with MSN/Hotmail password before I start working.

Is there a way I can disable this function to stop it prompting me my password once my Yoga is booted?

Answer

The Yoga 13 keeps the credentials locally for offline use as part of security for your system.

If you wish to have a Hotmail account attached to the computer and login without a password upon boot up, try this:

Win + R > netplwiz > Uncheck "user must enter a user name and password to use this computer".

The above will remove the password upon boot only. For sleep, go into the power settings and remove password from wake.

With this being done, you will only be prompted with a password if you lock the computer using Win+L.
