After upgrade the wireless adapter, do we need to update the driver as well?  Or the driver that come with Lenovo can be used with the new adapter?

Thanks

I used Maricum Reflect (trial) to copy all the different partitions and EaseUS Partition Master (free) to move the partitions around and expand the C partition.

Don't forget you need Torx number 5 screwdriver and an external mSATA to USB connector. I bought a complete Torx set and an external mSATA to USB 3.0 enclosure from Amazon for about $25.

Could you please post the links for the Amazon USB3 enclosure product?

The local suppliers in Australia only sell Chinese enclosures that do not support 1TB cards in a USB3 port (too much power drain for the card apparently).

Thanks.

I'm wanting to upgrade my Lenovo Helex with a Samsung 840 EVO MZ-MTE1T0BW 1TB mSATA Internal SSD. Who did you contact at Samsung?
Phil.

Re: 1TB msata SSD in Yoga 2 Pro?

Hi All, I will receive a new Yoga 2 13 (not PRO) with a 500Gb HD + 16Gb SSD. Is there a free msata slot available?

If yes, can I install a 512Gb msata as a system drive and let the 500Gb as storage or even get rid of it?

If not, can I replace the 500Gb HD for a 512Gb SSD? and where are the 16Gb SSD? Is it an hybrid drive or a msata card?  Should I discard the 16Gb if it is a msata card If I change the 500Gb HD for the 512Gb SSD?

Thank you all for the help

Yoga 13 (non Pro) has M2 slot, not msata. Not sure what the available drives are for M2, you should check that.

If you're going to remove the HD then I'd suggest to just replace it with a regular SSD. I did that with my previous Thinkpad, and got a better battery life, much quieter and 3 times faster laptop. Best upgrade ever!

Thanks for the reply. I'm studying both scenarios.

1 - Replace the HDD by a SSD drive. This is a no-brainer although I'm not sure if the +16SSD is a hybrid HD drive or a 16Gb M2 drive installed.

2 - Keep, at least for now ($$$) the HD for storage only, stopping it after 5min without use and install a M2 drive making it the boot drive. Is it possible to change the boot drive sequence. I think so in the Bios but the same doubt come to my mind regarding the +16SSD issue....

Cheers
