I just bought Yoga 720 13IKB. This is a model that comes with Lenovo Active Pen 2 in the box. However, there is no pen tip kit attached. As a consequence, I have two quesstions. First, is that as it should be (i.e. that the pen tip kit is only attached when you buy the pen separately)? Second, is there a possibility to buy pen tip kit without buying a new pen?

Right, as there are no Lenovo shops in the country I live. However, should this make any difference. I bought the laptop from an internet shop in origina Lenovo sealed box. Besides, I did some search and it seems to be the case that those who get the pen bundled with lapto get it without the extra nibs that come when the pen is bought separately. This, of course, makes no sense to me as it is very hard to understand why it is so hard to throw some extra nibs in the box, but that, of course, does not mean that it cannot be the case.
Unfortunately, I still have not found where I can order those nibs.

Looking at the specs for that model, it seems the pen is an option. Some have the pen and some do not.

Yes, pen is optional. But this is not the issue. What seems strange is that there is no pen tip kit in the box as well. I just wanted to know, whether that is normal or there is something wrong with my purchase. As it turns out (at least, from what I found by searching the net) this is normal. But in that case I would be very glad to find out, where one can buy the tip kit. Unfortunately, so far I have not been lucky in this regard. It seems, that Lenovo does not sell the kit and I find it rather strange.

Sorry. I read it too fast. No extra nibs seems odd. It looks to me like if you buy the pen by itself, it comes with 3 extra ones.

Yes, that seems to be the case. Which just makes it very strange. I mean, why not to throw this small thing into package when the pen is bundled with a laptop. But even if they don't do that, then why not offer the kit separately. I would be happyt to buy it, but this just seems to be impossible. In some discussions some people have mentioned that Wacom Bamboo Ink nibs might be compatible and they can be bought separately. Hovwever, so far I have not encountered any confirmation of that.

Thank you! As I already said, this does not seem to be a problem with my particular machine. This is rather a (one might say strange) policy of Lenovo not to supply nibs with pens that are bundled with laptops. This being the case the only issue that I am interested now is where to get the nibs. I would appreciate any information that would help with that.

I just sort of solved my pblem - I bought a Bamboo Ink pen. Not the cheapest solution, but it works. I know where to get extra nibs when I need them. The Bamboo Ink pen feel a bit more convenient in the hand and works great so far.
