Hi, I am considering to buy a C930. If I upgrade the SSD later by myself, what is the procedure software-wise? Hardware-wise, is it as simple as swapping the internal SSD with a higher capacity one?
Somebody mentioned that although cloning the original SSD may work, Windows 10 Professional performs better if it is a fresh install. If I install Windows 10 Pro fresh, do I have to deal with the mess of finding all the drivers and additional Lenovo software by myself? Is there a site with all the drivers and additional Lenovo programs for the C930 so that if I install Windows 10 Professional fresh by myself, I can still obtain those software and drivers easily to make it as if it were directly coming out from Lenovo?

It does look as usual m.2 replacement after removing the pen, battery and cover as shown in the hardware manual (page 36 HMM).
The support site also have the drivers and software/ utilities that you would need. The same clean installation was also successfully done by fellow member in this discussion so I am confident that you can do it too.
I hope this helps answer your query.

Thanks. Somewthere I read that the stock SSD had some kind of metal to wrap around it. So I just unwrap it and wrap it around the new drive?
For 2TB SSD, is it supported automatically right out of the box?

In those that has a metal shielding, it is only a thin film for static protection that can be easily re-made back to position.

Thanks spidey101, the 2T configuration does not seem to be available in Canada.
BTW, do you know if the surface of the C930 non-glass and glass versions get scratched easily?
Can user replace the case in both versions?

I guess you guys have a better discussion here but I am sure the certification of the Corning Gorilla Glass is one of the current standard for resiliency even on other mobile gadgets if scratches is the main concern.
In terms of replacement parts, you can review the hardware manual as it may be a challenge going through all other parts first.
