Adobe Premiere Elements shows Green Lines after driver Update

2021-07-03, 14:16 PM

I have a Yoga X1 2nd Gen , with an Intel 620HD graphics card, and having not used my adobe premiere elements for a few months I find that now displays green lines when trying to edit a movie, it seems that the latest driver 27.20.100.8337 seems to be the issue, and trying to install the previously available driver on the Lenovo site using the N1NDT21W file, and although it tells me that it will overwrite the newer driver, it remains at 8337.  There seems to be a few newer drivers for the graphics card , but they are not available through the Lenovo downloads, only the Intel site. I'm concerned that Lenovo have their own "flavour" of the drivers and that using directly from Intel won't work.

The drivers Lenovo have on their website are always wel out of date. Just use the latest Intel ones and you'll have no issues.

Hello nongrockle,

Sorry for the late response.

Would the display only show the lines with Adobe software?
How about other video editing tools?
OEM drivers are preferred since it was originally tested with it and was certified to work.

It only occurs with the adobe software , I've tried others (HD Movie Maker) and it doesn't happen.

Hello nongrockle,

I think you need to check this with the Adobe developer for specific updates or add-on requirements.
There might be a unique settings or configuration necessary.
It would be worth trying.

I personally would install the latest driver from the Intel download site (but I have been doing that for years, and I am comfortable doing so.)  You can use Device Manager to "Roll Back" to the previous driver and report the problem, this also prevents the current driver from reinstalling.

How much memory do you have?

Unrelated to the green lines.  Optimizing the Intel HD graphics settings would improve video editing performance, see the article below.  The power and general performance settings are are no brainer, the others you may have to play with as gaming to editing is not a direct correlation.
