Automatic Adaptive Brightness Control - Yoga S740

2019-12-18, 12:48 PM
Hey guys, I was just checking if I could automatically adjust the level of display brightness according to wether running on A/C or on battery....But I was told this function is no longer implemented in Windows 10. So I was looking for any automatic adaptive display brightness control from Lenovo on my Notebbok but apparently on s740 there is not such possibility (It means we'll have to adjust brightness manually every time we need) Is there anybody out there who knows more about this? Thank you in advance

Hi ,

Welcome to the Community,

The option is available under the Power plan settings and you need to enable it as shown below.

1. Right click Start and select power options, click Power & sleep settings.

2. Next click Additional power settings in the right window.

3. Click Change plan settings next to your current power plan.

4. In the Edit Plan Settings window, you can click Change advanced power settings.

5. In Power Options window, click Display then expand Enable adaptive brightness, and turn on Windows 10 adaptive brightness.

If you don’t see the enable adaptive brightness option in Power Options window either, maybe it’s because your computer doesn’t support the adaptive brightness feature.

Hope this works and let us know how it goes,

Jeremy

Thank you a lot Jeremy, but I think that's my problem my Notebook does not support such feature (brand new S740!) It's very strange, but I've tried on and on and could not find any of that settings (nor the adaptive ambient brightness module I think is implemented in this device, it stays the same till I change it manually)

Thank you for your help anyway
