Hi ammarsd,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

It might be worth trying the following:

Have you made sure that you're keyboard driver is up to date through the Lenovo Support page? It might also be worth trying the following:

Go to Device Manager and locate your keyboard > click Update driver software > Browse computer > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer and then see if there is a standard keyboard option (if it's not already selected), if there is, select it and restart your device.

Re: Backlit KeyboardYoga 500-14IBD Laptop

Hi ammarsd,

The system should react to FN+ Space. There is no driver needed for this to work. If the model number says that the system has a backlit keyboard and it does not work, then you have to either return the system or get it repaired. Please contact Lenovo Warranty Support in your region if you wish to have the system serviced.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
