Battery 100 but dies when unplugged

So I have a yoga 730 and ive only had it for like 3 months and suddenly my battery started to have problems. First it started to discharge really fast and then it just turned off while on like 50 percent. Now it always shows 100% but dies the second i unplug it. I called Lenovo and they said i had to calibrate the battery with one key optimizer, but that just doesnt work, it never showed me a status bar or something, and never ''finished'' calibrating (i think the program is not working). They also said that i dont have international warranty, so thats a problem.

Is there another way i can calibrate the battery? Is there a way that i can make my warranty international?

Thank you.

Re: Battery 100 but dies when unplugged

Hi batistamadeline,

Greetings.

How is the battery indicator (page 27) to see if it is solid white or amber or off?

Have it plugged in the charger for 2-3 hours without turning it on and see if there would be any changes in the charging led. Assumining that the battery do not have a charge, we expect it as amber then after 2-3 hours turning to white. This would be similar to manual calibrating the battery.

Others would try to turn off and unplug the charger then remove the battery allowing it to rest for 1-2 hours not powering on and then to place parts back and try charging.

If you have purchased the machine outside your current location (example US) then use the International Warranty Lookup to check for countries that can cover the service. If your country is not include then it is expected that your model variant is not available aside from the expected parts.

There is no other way to update international warranty since this depends if a country sell that particular variant making the service parts readily available.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Update us how it goes.

Regards
